In a bid to offer novel social distancing solutions as we are gearing up for the relaxation phase of the lockdown across nation, startups are exploring innovation led technology based solutions to raise awareness about social distancing, and hygiene amongst people.

Even though the fear and the virus still remain contagious, physical distancing is the norm of the day with small scale reopening of malls, and offices.

Here are 4 apps that are leading the game in fighting COVID-19 in India:

1. DROR – Gurugram based DROR is a safety app for citizens. They recently introduced a feature that tracks your Social Distancing score. The app enables users to maintain their daily social distancing score by exchanging Bluetooth signals between phones to detect other users of the app who are in proximity. Reiterating the need to maintain hygiene, the app also gives one a reminder every 3 hrs to wash hands.

2. Staqu - Staqu, an artificial intelligence-based security focused startup through its platform Jarvis allows organisations to monitor their adherence to government norms via real-time CCTV analytics – using thermal screening and face recognition.

3. Park+ - Smart parking solutions start-up Park+, has recently introduced tech-driven social distancing solutions for malls. The solutions are aimed at preparing malls for a post-COVID-19 world that will call for cautiously planned and highly reliable safety and hygiene measures.

4. Magneto CleanTech - Magneto CleanTech has seen a surge in demand for its air purifier technology since the lockdown. Its solution – filter-less magnetic technology can be added onto any AC system. The company is exploring customised offerings for transit systems such as buses, railways and metros soon.
