Madhuri Dixit to debut in the world of web series with a Netflix show

Madhuri Dixit Nene will make her digital debut on Netflix show. The actress will play the lead role in an upcoming series that is being produced by Netflix and Karan Johar's digital division Dharmatics.

A Marathi film 15 August produced by Madhuri Dixit Nene was released on Netflix. Speaking about her association with the platform and Karan Johar, the actress said, “The reach and diversity in the audience that the platform provides are unparalleled and Karan is like a family to me. So when I got this opportunity to play the protagonist in the series I couldn't resist it.''

She further said that this series will be entertaining, riveting and yet heartwarming.

The series will be helmed by showrunner Sri Rao and Creatively Produced by Karan Johar.

Sri Rao marks his entry into the world of Indian entertainment with this upcoming series. Incidentally, Sri has worked with Dixit Nene in the past, on a pilot for ABC network, which was inspired by her life as a Bollywood superstar-turned-soccer mom in suburban America.
