Asaram verdict reactions: Justice done to victim, grief for dead witnesses

Several people hailed the Jodhpur court verdict of April 25 convicting godman Asaram Bapu of raping a minor at his ashram in 2013, saying justice had been done. Four other accused were also convicted.

The victim’s father expressed relief and hoped that Asaram Bapu would get strict punishment. He also hoped for justice of the witnesses who were allegedly murdered or kidnapped.
