Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi on Wednesday alleged a conspiracy against her family, saying that the security cover outside her residence had been withdrawn around late evening.

"The security was revoked at nine in the night. See what the government is doing? It is a conspiracy to get me and my family killed," Rabri, the wife of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, told reporters.

On being asked if she fears for her security in the wake of withdrawal of security, the RJD leader said, "I don't have any fear. I go out in the public and the public will protect us. If there is God up there, then here we have the public."

Rabri Devi also wrote a letter to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, stating, “If any untoward incident takes place with me and my family, home ministry will be held responsible.”

On Wednesday afternoon, Rabri further blamed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for Lalu’s deteriorating health in prison.

In November last year, Lalu’s eldest son had mounted a similar attack on the state government and the Modi government after his father’s security cover was downgraded from Z+ to Z status.

Tej Pratap Yadav had reacted back then, “They are hatching a murder conspiracy against him.”
