Two more staffers from the office of the South-West District Magistrate in the national capital on Wednesday tested positive for coronavirus, taking the tally to three from the team
According to an official source, reports of 17 people from the office came on Wednesday.
"The reports from the DM's office have come. Two out of 17 have tested positive, both are contacts of the previous case. Contact tracing is being done and samples will be collected of their primary contacts," an official said.
While the remaining reports have returned negative, the staff members will be under isolation for the next few days before returning back to work.

Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court S. Mani Kumar is presently on a two week isolation at his official residence here following his visit to his home town in Tamil Nadu.
He secured permission for travel from both Tamil Nadu and Kerala government. On arriving at the Palakkad border he went through the mandatory tests and then only his vehicle was allowed to pass.
His staff who were in the vehicle would also be in two week isolation.
Kumar will take part online in a retirement ceremony of a senior judge to take place later this week.

With the total lockdown in Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai coming to an end on Wednesday evening, the Tamil Nadu government has announced some relaxations for these three cities.
In a statement issued here, the government said the total lockdown announced for Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai comes to an end on Wednesday.
According to the government, the lockdown restrictions in these three cities will revert back to the status that were present on April 26.
However, in order to enable people to purchase their essentials, the government said grocery shops will be open between 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Taj city now enjoys the dubious distinction of topping the UP chart and standing at eleventh place in India. The number of Covid-19 cases here went up to 413 on Wednesday, according to the health ministry data.
The alarm bells are continuously ringing and there is little likelihood of any relaxation in lockdown conditions from May 3.
Police officials said 3125 cases had been registered and 469 people have been arrested for violating the lockdown.
So far more than 6000 samples have been taken. The death toll stands at 11. The number of hotspots has come down to 30 after the limits were extended to one kilometre from 800 metres. For faster collection of samples in hotspots, four mobile vans have been put on the job.

Eight more people were tested positive for coronavirus in Chandigarh on Wednesday, taking the total cases to 67.
Seven cases were reported from slum Bapu Dham Colony in Sector 26, the most affected pocket of the city with 22 cases, while one from Sector 38.
The other worst affected area is economically weaker section colony in Sector 30 that saw 14 cases. Both the areas have already been sealed.
The city on Tuesday saw 14 virus cases, the highest single-day spike.

With 12 new cases of coronavirus being reported on Tuesday, the district authorities in Varanasi have announced a complete lockdown in the city on Wednesday.
As per the order applicable in areas falling under the Varanasi municipal limits, all shops, mandis and home delivery services will remain closed and curfew passes also stand cancelled for Wednesday.
Only officials working in the government offices, those involved in essential services, and health workers of private and government hospitals on COVID-19 duty will be allowed to travel.

47 cases of COVID-19 has been reported at CRPF battalion in Delhi. This includes one jawan who died on Tuesday. The battalion of around 1,000 people has been quarantined. In the last couple of days, there has been a massive spike in number of cases at 31st battalion of the CRPF located east Delhi's Mayur Vihar.

A 55-year-old CRPF jawan died at Safdarjung Hospital on Tuesday.
Earlier, a jawan who is a nursing assistant from paramedic unit of the CRPF tested positive earlier this month. The jawan, who joined the battalion, started showing symptoms on April 17 and tested positive on April 21. He has been admitted to Delhi's Rajiv Gandhi Hospital.
