The Congress Working Committee (CWC), the top decision making body of the Indian National Congress, is likely to meet on November 10, ahead of the winter session of Parliament, to devise its strategy in the House.
A top source said that the meeting has been called by the party's interim President Sonia Gandhi to take stock of the political situation in the country. The Congress is trying to forge an alliance with all like-minded parties to jointly oppose the policies of the Central government.
Also, with just 24 days to go for the Jharkhand Assembly polls, a meeting of the Congress Election Committee (CEC) will be held on November 9 at the residence of Sonia Gandhi to discuss the names of the candidates.
