With the usual aggression on Ram Mandir construction clearly on the faces of  Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and RSS office bearers and cadres on the second day of ongoing dharma sansad at Ayodhya it has become quite evident that the temple movement which until now had been the sole hegemony of these two organizations is now divided between three groups.

One owing allegiance to VHP and RSS, other rallying behind the Shankaracharya of DWarka, Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati and  the third group Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad (ABAP).  However after the the second group declared it’s intent to undertake kar sewa at Ayodhya in violation of court’s directive, the ABAP has also thrown its weight behind the second group. It’s intentions also became clear when it conveyed its decision to boycott the dharma sansad.

Even though some saints of the VHP including Shubham Arya claimed that the ruckus created inside the dharma sansad venue was the handiwork of saints belonging to SWaroopanand Saraswati faction. They have come with the sole purpose of creating disturbance and stall the process of evolving any effective strategy to settle the Ram temple issue.

However looking at the developments it was visible that the saint community is holding divergent views on the highly emotive. The one backed by VHP and RSS were seen making efforts to dilute the issue of taking any step which may create a law and order problem.

Instead they were of the view that something positive may come out once the apex court takes up the application of the central government where it has requested the court to consider returning the 47 acre land acquired by the government to Ram Janambhoomi Nyas.

But this is finding very few takers especially among those members of the saint community who feel that enough time has been given to the government and courts and now only an Ordinance on Ram temple is the only alternative left.

In between this another new player in the form of Akhil Bhartiya Kinnar has entered the fray and slammed the government and VHP for soft pedaling the issue. Stating that the government and frontline Hindu organizations like VHP are not concerned about construction of Ram temple, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhara, Swami Laxmi Narayan Tripathi said “Now the temple at Ayodhya would be constructed with the blood of KInnar akhara because the political parties are only worried about their own vote bank. No one is bothered to take up issues like religious conversion of poor Hindus, cow and Ganga.
