Watch: In Yogi’s ‘thain thain’ Uttar Pradesh, BJP councillor thrashes cop in Meerut 

Uttar Pradesh recently caught social media attention when a police official said ‘thain thain’ during a live encounter. Now it is a BJP councillor beating a cop and abusing his woman friend cruelly

Yogi’s Uttar Pradesh has recently been in the headlines for the deteriorating law and order situation in the region. The latest case is took place in Meerut district, where a sub-inspector named Sukhpal was beaten by a BJP councillor, Munish Kumar after they got into an argument at a hotel in Kankarkheda area. The policeman had come to the hotel with a lady advocate to have meal. During this time he had an altercation with the hotel owner which led to the brawl in which the BJP councilor beat up the policeman mercilessly.

In the video, the BJP councillor can be seen profusely abusing the woman lawyer also. The police have arrested the accused councilor and is questioning him. The policeman has also been summoned in relation to the incident. Meanwhile, the video of the incident is going viral on social media, which can be seen here:

BJP leader Munish Kumar is the councillor from Ward No. 40 of Meerut. The BJP leader alleges that the woman and the sub-inspector were drinking alcohol inside in the hotel. On the other hand, the woman lawyer said that she had gone to the hotel to talk about a case with the policeman and they had ordered something to eat. The lawyer said that the allegation of drinking alcohol in the hotel is wrong.

It is also being reported that Sub-inspector Sukhpal was on Dussehra Duty on Friday night. But during the duty, he went home after informing the officials about his poor health. Later he went to the hotel with the woman lawyer, where the dispute took place. SP City said that an FIR has been registered and investigation is being carried out in the case.
