Now the farmers will start vacating the protest sites from December 11 and will return to their homes after holding a victory march.

The government had sent a draft proposal to the farm unions on Wednesday Dec 8th and requested to call off their protest after which the SKM leaders met the government on Dec 9th and announced the end of protest by saying,"We have decided to suspend our agitation. We will hold a review meeting on Jan 15. If the government doesn't fulfill its promises, we could resume our agitation.''

Now on Saturday Dec 11 the farm unions will be celebrating ‘Vijay Diwas’ at all borders, toll plazas, and protest sites across the country. Apparently the farmers wanted to celebrate it on Dec 10th but postponed it to December 11 in view of the chopper crash where chief of Defense staff Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife and 11 others died.
