A head constable of Delhi Police also died in the clashes.Police totally fails to maintain law and order.

Delhi CM has said "The police personnel could not do anything because they were not getting orders from their seniors....

..... I will raise this with (Home Minister) Amit Shah ji. They can't decide whether there should be tear-gassing or lathi-charging without orders from above."

Affected areas of NorthEast Delhi includes Jafrabad, Chand Bagh, Maujpur, Bhajanpura, Kardampuri, Gokulpuri, Khajuri and Karawal Nagar.

Home Minister Amit Shah has called for a meeting to discuss the situation in Delhi with the Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Representatives of various other political parties have also been invited to the meeting.

On Tuesday morning, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal too called an urgent meeting, at his residence, of MLAs and officials of the violence-hit areas.

On Tuesday morning, stone-pelting continued in Maujpur and Brahampuri areas.

Section 144 is enforced in the affected areas for a month.Board exams in the affected centres are rescheduled.

Enforcing prohibitory measures under Section 144 of CrPC, the order restricts assembly of more than four people in the area.

Fresh application has been  filed in Supreme Court by former Chief Information Commissioner Wajahat Habibullah and Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad....

The man who fired multiple rounds during violent clashes in northeast Delhi was detained by the police on Monday evening.
