Coronavirus cases in India spike up to cross the 2301 mark with 56 deaths

PM directed states to manage and monitor corona cases district wise

PM held his first video conference with all CMs amid coronavirus lockdown on Thursday


On ground the testing facilities remain limited and only those with all symptoms can take the test

Number of doctors,nurses and hospitals remains insufficient to deal the soaring numbers

The states lack in basic facilities and infrastructure to isolate and treat patients

Data shows the scarcity of number of beds across states, specially the BJP ruled ones

Uttar Pradesh has .38 number of beds per 1000 people, Gujarat has .33 beds for 1000 people

Bihar has .11 number of beds per thousand, Haryana has .44 number of beds per 1000


Assam has .55 number of beds per thousand population

The figures are similar for most of the states, that lack required medical preparedness

Lack of specialised hospitals and staff is still a major challenge for India

Experts say extensive testing is the need of the hour as cases continue to raise despite lockdown

The government seems to prepare for controlled culmination of the lockdown

Modi said it "can't be business as usual" after the lockdown and safeguards would have to be taken,


PM Narendra Modi said, testing, tracing, isolation and quarantine should remain the areas of focus.

In his message to the nation on Friday, PM did not mention how the government is coming up with the corona battle
