Although the date for Chinese premier Xi Jinping’s upcoming visit to India has not been finalised, elaborate arrangements are being made to welcome the Chinese premier, and ahead of his visit the Chinese envoy to India Sun Weidong has talked about convenient business environment in India, cultural ties with India and significance of peaceful dialogue, reports news agency ANI.

In conversation with ANI, the Chinese ambassador to India Sun Weidong said that China hopes India will provide more fair, friendly and convenient business environment for Chinese companies. He said that India and China should Jointly maintain peace and tranquility on border before final settlement, boundary dispute must not affect ties.

He emphasised that India and China should stick to Panchsheel principles, and said that mutual trust, friendship between Modi and Xi are being extended to all sectors.

Highlighting the rich cultural history of both the countries he said both India and China have had a long cultural interaction

On India-China regional situation, China's Ambassador to India, Sun Weidong said, At the regional level, we should resolve disputes peacefully through dialogues and consultations and jointly uphold regional peace and stability.

On imports from Indian, he said, “China has taken active measures to increase imports from India,including lowering tariffs on some Indian imports to China,sending purchasing delegations to India and assisting in the export of Indian agricultural products and pharmaceuticals to China.”

China's Ambassador to India, Sun Weidong on growing trade deficit between India-China said, China has never pursued a trade surplus, & the trade imbalance between China & India is largely the result of differences in their industrial structures.

He also said that, It's normal for neighbors to have differences. The key is to properly handle differences & find a solution through dialogue & consultation. Over past decades, no single bullet has been fired at China-India border area.Peace&tranquility has been maintained
