While it is a matter of relief that the alarmists have stopped posting doomsday tweets on Lata Mangeshkar, lovingly dubbed India’s Nightingale, other more positive though no less delusional twitter users are busy putting up old pictures with Lataji pretending they were taken very recently.

One such picture is accompanied by the “good news” that “Lata Didi” will be going home from hospital next week.

This, again, is a figment of the imagination, for the family has taken a decision to not take Lataji home until she recovers her strength fully.

Speaking to me, Lataji’s niece Rachana said, “There is no time frame for her return home, and that is not even important at this point of time. She needs to gain her immunity and strength back.”

It must be mentioned here that Lataji is allowed no guests in hospital except her immediate family.

Sources say Lataji is now fully conscious and recovering speedily. But she is not allowed to meet any guests. And it would be a long time before anyone is allowed access to her.
