During idol immersion on Monday night a violent scuffle broke out between anti-social elements in Patna. As the dispute escalated, both sides started attacking each other. Several rounds of bullets were fired from both sides and stones were pelted. Not only this, a few vehicles were set on fire.

More than a dozen people were injured in the stone-pelting. Due to firing, stone-pelting, and arson, residents locked themselves indoors. IG Range Sanjay Singh, SSP Garima Malik were present at the scene along with police force and riot-control squad to control the situation.

It is being reported that the first clash broke out during the idol immersion. When the locals came forward to intervene, they were also thrashed. After this, the local people also got involved in the scuffle.


Armed with sticks people attacked each other. Meanwhile, stone-pelting also started, which led to a stampede like situation. During the tussle, some bullets were also fired in the air. It created panic and people started running around to save their lives. Seeing the tense situation, shops in the locality were reportedly closed.
