Taking a dig on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday again targeted the incumbent government over the economy slowdown while saying PM, FM of India have no idea what to do next, ahead of the budget. This remark came just a day after Rahul slammed PM by saying at Jaipur rally, that, “Modi does not understand economics”.

Rahul on Wednesday tweeted "Modi and his dream team of economic advisors have literally turned the economy around. Earlier: GDP: 7.5%, Inflation: 3.5%. Now:GDP: 3.5, Inflation: 7.5%.”

"The PM and FM have absolutely no idea what to do next," he tweeted with the hashtag 'Budget 2020'.

On Tuesday, Rahul while addressing the 'Yuva Aakrosh' rally at the Albert Hall, in Jaipur, said, "However, Modi doesn't understand this basic fact as he does not understand/study economics.”

Rahul Gandhi further added, "Around one crore youths in the nation lost their jobs, however, Prime Minister is silent on the issue. Modi gives long speeches on CAA, NRC and NPR but prefers to remain silent on the issue of unemployment," he said adding, "the growth rate during UPA tenure stood at 9 per cent which has come down to below 5 per cent despite the fact that parameters to calculate the GDP were changed. If we calculate it as per earlier parameters, it will be around 2.5 per cent."

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present her second the budget 2020-21 which is scheduled on February 1.
