Twitterati wishes PM Modi happy birthday!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who turns 69 on Tuesday, visited the Statue of Unity on Narmada river in his home state Gujarat in the morning and shared a video of the Statue of Unity, billed as the tallest in the world. He also offered prayers at the river.

Social media in India was flooded with messages extending good wishes to the prime minister.

Congress Interim President Sonia Gandhi has extended her greetings to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on his birthday. She wished him a healthy, happy and long life.

Wishing PM Modi on his birthday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that he is a leader with strong will power and a symbol of decisive leadership and hard work.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also greeted PM and tweeted, “Your dedication, commitment and vision of building a New India with mantra of "Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas" always keeps inspiring all of us.”

Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh too tweeted birthday greetings for PM Modi:

PM’s schedule on his birthday includes a visit to Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada river to start the “Namami Narmade” festival.

The Prime Minister is also expected to visit Lord Dattatreya temple in Garudeshwar village near Kevadiya.
