Congress leader Rahul Gandhi hit out at PM Narendra Modi on August 9 over rising unemployment in the country. Rahul Gandhi accused the Modi government of failing to meet its promise of providing jobs to two crore people every year.

In a video posted to his Twitter account, Rahul Gandhi launched the Rozgar Do campaign and urged the youth to raise their voices and connect with the campaign to awaken the government from its slumber
" 'Give employment, Modi government!', this is what every youth demands. I urge the youth to raise their voice and connect with #RozgarDo of the Indian Young Congress to awaken the government from its slumber," he said.
It is a question of our country’s future, tweeted Rahul Gandhi.

When Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, he promised the youth of this country that he would give employment to two crore people every year. He sold them a very big dream. The truth is 14 crore people have been made jobless by PM Modi’s policies, Rahul Gandhi said on the video.

"Why did this happen? Because of wrong policies - demonetisation, GST and then nationwide lockdown. Because of these three policies, the government has destroyed India's economic structure. The truth now is India cannot give its youth jobs," Rahul added.
