Congress' former president Rahul Gandhi turns proactive as a responsible leader in the time of pandemic. Along with raising sharp questions at the Prime Minister, over mismanaged pandemic, Rahul has taken charge of the upcoming Bihar elections.Congress initiated meetings and preparations for the upcoming Bihar elections on Thursday. Rahul Gandhi is seen taking a keen interest in the fortunes Bihar Congress.

Former Congress president, Rahul Gandhi, has decided to oversee the preparations for the upcoming Bihar elections. This is the second meeting he has chaired with the Bihar Congress unit. The meeting lasted over four hours where Rahul Gandhi participated for one and a half hours.

General Secretary in charge of Bihar, Shakti Sinh Gohil, PCC Chief, CLP, Campaign Committee in charge along with block and district level party workers, there were over a 1000 participants from Bihar Cong unit in the meeting.


Rahul Gandhi started the meeting by paying homage to the martyrs of Bihar regiment in the Galwan valley. He reiterated that the Govt has been lying on Chinese transgression into Indian soil, while China continues to extend its dominance at the northern frontier, encroaching into Indian territory.

The former Cong president also spoke on the casual approach of both state and central govt on COVID, where he had flagged the seriousness of the approaching epidemic on 12th Feb 2020.

Rahul Gandhi said that instead of initiating preparations in the health sector to battle the deadly virus, the govt downplayed the threat and coronavirus cases have been on the rise since.

Rahul Gandhi urged General Secretary Organisation, KC Venugopal, to formalise the modalities of the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar and get started on poll preparations.

He assured that he will be present at the election campaign and rallies for Bihar polls. He cited the role of Bihar in India’s independence and said that the state will lead the country in changing the ‘Disha and Dasha’ of India.

The prevalent flood situation and the lack of relief and rehabilitation work by Nitish government was also discussed, Rahul Gandhi urged party workers to extend all possible help to the distressed but attacked Bihar CM for indulging into politics and not standing by the people of the state.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s case was also discussed in the meeting where Gohil slammed the BJP for Politicisation of the case. He said that Congress has stood in favour of CBI probe but the party stand was misrepresented
