Uttar Pradesh is becoming synonymous with Crime Pradesh because of the total collapse of law and order in the state. The Yogi government has failed miserably in establishing law and order in the state with regard to crime against women.

Recently, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi also questioned Yogi Adityanath government over crime against women and women safety. She alleged that 13 horrific incidents of crime against women took place in recent past.

BJP leader opened fire in SDM’s meeting. In a recent shocking incident, Dhirendra Pratap Singh, a BJP leader, opened fire in a public meeting. The bullet hit a 46-year-old man. The victim Jai Prakash Pal was killed in the incident. The meeting was being conducted by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate to settle the dispute of allotment of ration shops in Durjanpur village of Ballia. The incident happened in full public view in the presence of SDM, CO, and policemen.

While the main accused fled from the spot, Surendra Singh, the BJP MLA from Ballia defended the action of the accused. Poor state of women’s safety in Uttar Pradesh disturbing said Priyanka Gandhi.


An 8-year-old girl child was allegedly raped by a 20-year-old man in a village in Jiyanpur area. In Bulandshehar a 14-year-old girl was raped by their neighbour. The Hathras rape and murder case is still very fresh in the public’s memory. In Hathras, a 19-year-old girl was brutally raped and murdered by 4 men when she went out to get fodder for animals. In the incident, her spinal chord was injured and her tongue was slit. She died of the brutal attack.

The UP government cremated her body in a hurry without her family’s consent. Similarly in Balrampur a 22-year-old Dalit college student was brutally gang-raped and murdered by the accused.

Notorious UP gangster Vikas Dubey encounter: Vikas Dubey, noted gangster of UP became a household name when he ambushed a police party that went to catch him. 8 policemen lost their life in the incident. Vikas Dubey was arrested a few days later and killed in a suspicious encounter by UP police.

Experts suspected that he could have spilled the beans on his political connections if he was interrogated properly.

Journalist murdered for saving niece from harassment: A UP journalist was killed by goons In a sensational murder case. journalist Vikram Joshi was shot at by assailants in front of his 2 daughters near his residence in Ghaziabad. He was assaulted and then shot in the head while his daughters cried for help. The shocking incident was caught on CCTV camera. He had filed a police complaint stating some men were harassing his niece.

Congress questions collapse of law and order in UP: Congress interim President, Sonia Gandhi, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Congress General Secretary, Priyanka Gandhi have persistently raised questions on Yogi Government’s failure in maintaining law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh.
