Amid the ongoing stalemate over the three new farm laws, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi released a booklet 'Kheti ka khoon’ to highlight the 'plight' of farmers in the country. During the launch, Rahul Gandhi attacked the Central government, saying that the new farm laws are designed by the government to 'destroy' Indian agriculture.

Rahul Gandhi, who in December met the President to demand a joint session of Parliament to repeal the three “anti-farmers, anti-agriculture, anti-poor and black” laws, alleged that the Centre was misinforming the country over the new farm laws and stated that a tragedy was unfolding today.

During the press conference, Rahul Gandhi also said that the new farm laws will put entire agriculture sector in hands of 3 to 4 crony capitalists. Besides, Rahul Gandhi said his fight was not just for the farmers but also for the youth, who are the country’s future.

Meanwhile, farmers made it clear to Delhi Police that they would hold a peaceful tractor rally on January 26 inside Delhi and that there is no scope of compromise on the issue. Earlier, The centre had approached the Supreme Court seeking to stop the farmers' tractor rally on an important day for the nation.

The Supreme Court has left it to the Delhi Police to decide whether to allow the tractor rally on Republic Day.
