Sonu Sood has shared a new video on Instagram urging fans to help children who lost their parents to COVID-19. He requested the government and various charitable organisations to announce free education for the children.

Sonu said that a lot of people have lost their loved ones in the second wave and shared that there have been cases where children as young as 10 or 12 years old have lost both parents and their future is a big concern for our society. Sonu appealed to those who can help, and also the central and state governments, that the education of these children must be free of cost.

Earlier, Sood had shared a video supporting the ‘cancel CBSE board exams 2021’ movement. He said, "On the behalf of students, I want to put in a request. CBSE and board exams are going to be held offline, I do not think the students are ready to sit for the exams amid the prevailing circumstances."

Sonu, who recently recovered from COVID-19, has been leading from the front with his philanthropic acts ever since the pandemic hit the country in 2020. The Dabangg actor helped many migrant workers reach their hometowns during the nationwide lockdown last year.

He had tested positive for the novel coronavirus on April 17 and tested negative on April 23.
