Union Minister for Agriculture Radha Mohan Singh took Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ to a whole new level after a picture of him urinating in public “amid tight security” went viral on the social media.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Twitter handle shared the images of Singh purportedly urinating in public and the accompanying text read: “Amid tight security, the Union Minister of Agriculture inaugurates an irrigation project in a drought-affected state. He has also speeded up the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan with his move.”

The reactions on the post were most amusing.

This photo is a true metaphor of our times when the government is spending crores in advertising ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ but the situation on the ground has hardly changed. The mentality of a fellow member of PM Modi’s Union Cabinet is a pointer to the hollowness of exalted claims.

On Wednesday, another BJP leader, Meenakshi Lekhi, was having trouble in writing ‘Swachh Bharat Swasth Bharat’ in Hindi at an Indraprastha Gas Limited function.

When trolled about the same in the social media, she defended herself saying that she has not studied Hindi after the 8th standard and then promptly deleted all tweets related to this.
