At least 80 people working for the Uttar Pradesh chief minister's helpline service here have tested positive for COVID-19, a senior official said on Tuesday.
"The first case (among those working at the helpline) was detected around 4-5 days back," the official told PTI.
The helpline service '1076' has been outsourced to a company.
"We had visited the place almost a month back, and they were properly told masks and sanitisers have to be used by everyone. They (the company) forwarded us photographs and videos of people wearing masks while working," the official said.

The overall situation in the four districts of Agra division remained grim on Tuesday as the coronavirus cases climbed to 1,070 on Tuesday with 17 more people testing positive for the infection in the last 24 hours, while the toll rose to 64 with two more deaths, said District magistrate P.N. Singh.
"Of the total 1,070 cases, 881 have been discharged after recovery so far. Besides, the number of samples collected till Tuesday morning was 17,049", he added.

Three terrorists were killed in an encounter at Turkawangam area in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district on Tuesday morning.
IG Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar told IANS that three terrorists have been eliminated.
According to details, security forces had a specific input about the presence of terrorists in the area.
The joint operation was launched by the police and the army at the first light. As the security forces zeroed in on the terrorist hideout, the hiding terrorists fired on them triggering the encounter.
At the end of the firefight all the three terrorists were eliminated. Their identities are being ascertained.
With the killing of the three terrorists in Tuesday's encounter a total of 17 terrorists have been killed in Shopian district in the last than 10 days in different encounters.
