WATCH| BJP MLA Akash Vijayvargiya arrested for thrashing Municipal Corporation officer with cricket bat

Akash Vijayvargiya, BJP MLA from Indore and son of senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya, thrashed a Municipal Corporation officer with a cricket bat, on Wednesday, June 26.

In a latest update, a case has been registered against BJP MLA Akash Vijayvargiya and 10 others for the attack. BJP MLA Akash Vijayvargiya has also been arrested for the crime.

His supporters also joined the MLA in assaulting the official. Police officials tried to intervene and dissuade people from assaulting a government officer. However, Akash Vijayvargiya seemed adamant.

After the incident, Vijayvargiya was reported saying, “This is just the beginning, we will end this corruption & goondaism. 'Aavedan, nivedan aur fir dana dan' this is our line of action.”

“Gangs dragged women out of their houses by their feet, women police should've been with them. When I reached there, people got angry at the officers & chased them away, we have come to the station to register FIR against the officers.”

The Municipal Corporation officers were in the area for an anti-encroachment drive.

Junior Vijayvargiya was accompanied by a large number of supporters. The entire incident was captured on the camera.
