The second wave of the pandemic has given rise to the digital medium in the real estate sector. With the pandemic putting everything on halt, the real estate industry is trying its best to attract the customers. Considering the situation right now, site visits are not possible. As a result of which, the real estate consultants are looking at different ways, one of which is the use of digital medium for this. MMK Usari, a joint venture by Mr. B.S. Jolly and Mr. D.S. Jolly have been looking at different ways to attract their customers, one such way is reaching out to them through the digital medium.

A lot of digital features like online booking, digital transactions, and social media solutions are being used to reach out to the customers and these trends continue to dominate the real estate industry right now. The pandemic has changed the face of the entire industry over the last one year. And all these tools have now become an important part of the industry. And seeing the growth in the trend, we feel that we will continue to see more and more of these trends now that the entire country has ventured into digital medium zone.

A lot of people, especially millennials are understanding the importance of having a home. The current situation of the market is not letting them stay away from their dream of having a great house. A lot of professionals are looking at ready-to-move-in homes that have all the basic facilities which a home has to offer. In a situation like this, all the real estate professionals have now planned to work on homes that have everything in terms of current technology, as most of the people today are working from home.

In order to make sure that their customers get a visual of their dream home, the real estate industry has started to organize virtual home visits. This is beneficial especially for the NRIs who are keen on purchasing a property in India, but cannot come to India because of the travel restrictions. As virtual tours have become convenient for the customers now, this trend is expected to stay for a long time. Over the past one year, we have also seen a tremendous growth in the number of real estate business websites. Be it the ones updating about rent, or the sites that are offering the customers to buy, this process has become so smooth that people today are loving it, especially the business professionals.

Seeing how things are panning out today, real estate companies have started to accept the situation and go with the flow as they adapt to the various measures needed in favour of our consumers.
