Economy needs to be wheeled into ICU, incompetent doctors attending to it: Chidambaram

Former Union Minister and Congress MP P Chidambaram on Monday took on the government on the issue of economy in the Rajya Sabha.

Addressing the house, Chidambaram said, “The government’s Chief Economic Advisor says the economy is in the ICU. I disagree. I believe the patient has to be wheeled into the ICU. Unfortunately the patient is being kept out of the ICU and incompetent doctors are now looking at the patient. Of course you wouldn’t consult the Opposition parties; the Congress is anyway untouchable.”
