Actor Vivaan Arora spills beans about his OTT debut and his views on Punjabi film industry

Vivaan Arora is a Punjabi actor who has appeared in Punjabi films such as Aish Kar Lai, Ek Wari Haan Karde and Dramebaaz Kalakar. He is also known for his work in such popular television shows as 'Khushiyon Kii Gullak Aashi', 'SuperCops vs Supervillains' and 'Aahat'. He had taken a break from the showbiz in 2017 after his family business suffered losses in Punjab. Now the actor is set to make a comeback through his OTT debut and rebuild his acting career.

On sharing about his wish to work in Punjabi films he reveals, "I want to change mentality of the Punjabi industry and convey that apart from singers even good actors can run the movie well with good content based storied. As people want good cinema. Punjabi industry is fast growing as audiences want different cinema. I would love to feature in good cinema. I can't just do it for the  sake of doing it."


Talking about the change in punjabi industry in recent times, he continues, "Usually, in Punjabi film industry they don't take risk of casting someone new rather they prefer to take a well known singer. I want to create that change in the industry. Whereas, in Bollywood due to recent OTT boom, a lot of new comers are getting chance in movies. But I feel in the recent times whole scenario has changed and Punjabi music industry is doing extremely well and giving plethora of work to new comers as well."

The actor also confirmed his OTT debut stating," Yes, finally I'm debuting in OTT on hotstar. The show is based on real incident. It's an exciting story. OTT has grown well in lockdown and it's good many people getting work through this."


He will also be seen in music album "Ishaq Tera Pagal Mujko Banaye" alongside actress Aman Sandhu and vocals given by Bhoomi Trivedi.
