The wait is finally over as the makers of Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap starer AK vs AK have finally dropped the first official motion poster of the film. Helmed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the film is gearing up for it's big OTT release on leading digital platform, Netflix. Sharing his first official look on social media, Anil Kapoor wrote, "When @anuragkashyap72 decides to kidnap a kid for his next film, it’s time to show him ki baap baap hota hai!"

AK vs AK narrates the story of a  brash film director (played by Anurag Kashyap) who kidnaps the daughter of a popular movie star (played by Anil Kapoor) and films the actor’s desperate search for his daughter in real-time to present it as his next blockbuster.

Opening up about AK vs AK's digital release, Anil Kapoor said, "We're all facing some really tough decisions in these uncertain times, but at the end of the day, it's up to those invested in the film to take a call that will be best for the film. For me, personally, I was convinced of the massive potential of digital platforms even before Covid came into the picture. AK vs AK was always going to have a digital release because we were all convinced of the power and reach of digital platforms like Netflix, even when many others warned us against taking such a huge risk. I can't deny that it's reassuring to see a lot of other producers release their movies digitally now, because it validates something I have believed in for a long time now. That being said, when the theatres do open (and are deemed safe), we are bound to see a whole lot of people flock to the medium that they know and love!"

The revenge drama is among the 17 new films and series teased by Netlfix in their latest ambitious line-up of originals.
