Anushka’s production ‘Bulbul’, a Netflix original, gets its lead pair

The Laila Majnu actor Avinash Tiwary is on a roll.  He has not only signed a film with Parineeti Chopra but now we hear has finished shooting for Anushka Sharma's home production Bulbul.

The horror film also has Tripti Dimri as the female lead and the film is an Neflix original.
It maybe recalled here that Anushka has been planning to make Bulbul for a really long time and there  have been reports that Sara Ali Khan was also approached for the role before the film became a Netflix original. It maybe recalled here that Netflix India had earlier this year announced Nine films to be produced by Anushka and Bulbul was one of them.

Bulbul has been shot in Kolkata and is a period drama that looks at the age old beliefs and superstitions. Set in a village plagued by mysterious deaths and stories of haunting Bulbul is more about a man trying to save a village from a witch.

The story will revolve around Satya and his brother's child bride who are separated when Satya is sent to a foreign country and when he comes back he finds out that his brother has abandoned his wife.Alongside Tripti and Avinash we will also see Rahul Bose, Paoli Dam and Parambrata.

Anushka Sharma at present is focusing on producing content and less on her acting career.  She has also produced a cop drama for Amazon and Bulbul is being made for Netflix
