Dhadak couple’s off-screen chemistry: Ishaan buys ‘Jhumkaas’ from Janpath for Janhvi

The characters played by Ishaan and Janhvi in Dhadak are not very familiar to their reel lives though their chemistry can be seen both on and off screen

Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor were in Delhi on Wednesday for the promotion of their upcoming movie Dhadak.

Talking to the media, the Dhadak team said that the movie is set in Rajasthan and has a regional flavour. This romantic drama is set to hit the cinemas on 20th July and has already created buzz with its engaging music.

On visiting Delhi, Ishaan talked about his roots being in Delhi and Janhnvi said that she enjoys the street food and likes to shop in the city. Ishaan shared his thoughts on nepotism and said that his personal thoughts are different than what others face. He feels blessed that he is part of a family that has a background in the industry.

“I have explored Delhi. I had food at Khan Chacha restaurant. We went to the Janpath and Ishaan has purchased earrings for me,” said beaming Janhvi.

The actors said that they have worked hard to come up to the expectations of director Shashank Khaitan. Talking about their real lives, the characters played by the protagonists are not very familiar to their reel lives though their chemistry can be seen both on and off screen. Ishaan said that both of them believe a lot in the love of people and the audience.

The grooving dance moves of the song Zinghaat has created a buzz among the youth. Ishaan tells that they were not inspired by his brother Shahid who is known for his dancing skills, though Ishaan was advised to make sure he is well versed for the linguistic needs of the film.

Their passion for acting makes it easier for them to portray the roles of lovers against the society and their destiny.

Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor’s much talked about film Dhadak is set to release on Friday. Janhvi, the late Sridevi’s daughter is debuting with this film.
