Entertainment: Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao down with swine flu
Aamir and Kiran are down with Swine Flu. Aamir announced this through video conferencing during an event organised by his NGO Paani Foundation
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao are the latest to be afflicted by swine flu. Both of them are being treated at their residence in Mumbai.
The 52-year-old actor and Kiran were scheduled to attend an event of their NGO Paani Foundation in Pune. Aamir announced that he and Kiran are down with Swine Flu through video conferencing during an event organised by the Foundation.
“It’s a happy day but we are very sad... because after working so hard for a year, when the time came for us to celebrate with you, we got this illness. And the disease we are suffering from is one which spreads rapidly. It's called H1N1 or swine flu in common usage,”said Aamir Khan.
Aamir’s friend Shah Rukh Khan was his proxy for the evening.
Director unveils Simran’s poster
The new poster of Kangna Ranaut’s upcoming film Simran is out and we can see the royal look of Kangna in the poster. Film’s director Hansal Mehta took to Twitter to share the new poster.
The actress plays a Gujarati NRI in the movie who gets embroiled in a crime. Hansal shared another post announcing about the trailer release.
The film is all set to release on September 15.
Karan shares first picture of Yash and Roohi
Finally, the long wait for a glimpse of Karan’s babies has come to an end. Filmmaker Karan Johar shared the first photo of his twins, Roohi and Yash on Twitter.
The 44-year-old director posted the photo on Twitter in which his mother Hiroo Johar is seen cuddling the babies.
On Rakshabandhan, the actor shared the youngest chubby brother-sister duo of Tinsel town with a post on social media. The filmmaker welcomed - a baby boy and girl- who were born through surrogacy, in February. Karan named his son Yash, after his late father Yash Johar.
Big B does not want 75th birthday celebrations
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan says he won’t allow people to organise any special event for his 75th birthday. Amitabh Bachchan, who will turn 75 on October 11 wrote:
“Many threaten and plan a 75th celebration for my birth. May it be known that there shall be no such event, allowed or even acknowledged. May it be known that if there is such move by others, they must withdraw from it for I shall never acknowledge or endorse such... Be it family or Ef (extended family) or any other... it is not going to be with any consent. It shall only drive me to some isolated unknown location which shall never be known by any. Period!”
Amitabh added that if his wishes were not respected, he would end up going to “some isolated unknown location which shall never be known by any”.
