Entertainment: Deepika is ideal mafia queen, says Vishal

Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan are all set to share the screen once again after Piku for Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming film.

At a screening of a short film, Kajal, in Mumbai on Tuesday, Bhardwaj, said, “I think Deepika is one the finest actresses that we have in the country. She is the combination of superstar and a good actor. It’s a rare combination that a performer is a superstar and, at the same time, has great acting abilities. Deepika is one of them.”

The untitled film will be directed by Honey Trehan and is reportedly based on one of the chapters from S Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Deepika will play the role of feared mafia queen Rahima Khan, popularly known as Sapna Didi, while Irrfan will play a local gangster.

This will be Deepika’s first film with Vishal Bhardwaj. The film will hit the floors in January next year.

Dangal girl trolled for wearing swimsuit during Ramzan

Dangal girl Fatima Sana Shaikh posted some pictures of herself in a black swimsuit at a Malta beach on Wednesday. The 25-year-old actress did this photo shoot for GQ India’s June issue.The pictures did not go well with the moral police and she has been shamed for wearing a swimsuit during Ramzan.

With some people also appreciating her look and wishing her luck for upcoming projects, the comments’ section turned into a battleground.

Fatima is popularly known for portraying Geeta Phogat in Dangal and is presently shooting for Aamir Khan’s much awaited Thugs of Hindustan.

Oprah always wanted to be an actress

Oprah Winfrey, an American media proprietor, talk show host, producer and actress, said it was always her dream to become an actress.

According to the 63-year-old media mogul, playing Sofia Johnson in the 1985 film The Color Purple was the best moment of her life.

“You know, I always wanted to be an actress. I never wanted anything more in my life than I wanted to be in The Color Purple, and have never allowed myself to want anything as much again,” said Winfrey.

Winfrey said she had told everyone around that she would do anything to bag a role in the movie directed by Steven Spielberg.

Oprah Winfrey is best known for her talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show, it was the highest-rated television programme and nationally syndicated from 1986 to 2011 in Chicago.
