Pahlaj Nihalani, chief of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has objected to the word ‘Intercourse’ used in the upcoming film of Imtiaz Ali-directed Jab Harry Met Sejal. Nihalani is upset with the film’s trailer which shows Anushka's character talking about an indemnity bond and how there won't be any legal consequences if the couple has ‘intercourse’.

According to the CBFC chief, the only condition for granting a UA certificate is the deletion of dialogues about intercourse. Speaking about the uncut trailer being aired on news channels he said, “We cannot stop content on the internet. But we can and will stop the broadcast of the uncensored footage on television. The trailer has been picked up from the internet and is being aired on various news channels. This is completely against the law and we plan to take the strictest action against the channels which have aired the censored content from Imtiaz Ali’s film.”

While the CBFC is ready with a pair of scissors, Shah Rukh is busy in the promotion of the film. The 51-year-old actor met Sejals of Ahmedabad and launched the song Radha on Wednesday. He shared a picture from the promotional event on Twitter.

Shah Rukh Khan and Imtiaz Ali met the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani also while promoting the film. The actor shared a photograph of himself along with Rupani and thanked him on Twitter

Although the film’s mini trailer has left Nihalani upset, it has won over hearts on the Internet with over 3,573,619 views. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Jab Harry Met Sejal is all set to release on 11th August.
