Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez who is stepping into Karisma Kapoor’s shoes for the sequel of the 1997 hit film Judwaa says she was under pressure to play Karisma’s role. The sequel has Jacqueline and Taapsee Pannu in the lead opposite Varun Dhawan.

“The 1997 film had Karsima Kapoor and I play her part. So, the pressure was high as she is a fantastic actress. I hope I have made David sir proud with my work,” said Jacqueline.

Talking about working with David Dhawan, Jacqueline said, “You make sure you do justice and give your best. I have followed David sir's instructions.”

David praised both Jacqueline and Taapsee, saying, “She (Jacqueline) has done it well, she has done it beyond my imagination. Both the girls are so good and prompt.”

Judwaa 2 is slated to hit screens on September 29.

Arshad Warsi finishes Golmaal Again shoot

Actor Arshad Warsi has wrapped up shooting for his upcoming film Golmaal Again. The 49-year-old actor took to Twitter, where he shared a selfie with his co-stars Tusshar Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu, along with some background dancers.

The fourth instalment of the Golmaal franchise was shot in locations such as Mumbai, Goa, Hyderabad and Ooty.

The film also features Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shreyas Talpade, Parineeti Chopra, Sanjay Mishra and Johnny Lever.

The Rohit Shetty-directed movie is slated to release this Diwali.


Aamir Khan urges people to contribute for Bihar flood relief

Superstar Aamir Khan appealed to people to contribute towards Bihar Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in the wake of the floods which have hit the northern state.

The toll in Bihar floods rose to 253 till Monday as more areas started getting affected, with nearly 1.26 crore people hit by the deluge.

Aamir said he is confident that the government is taking necessary steps to overcome this situation.

“I am confident the government is doing something to battle the situation. Nature is not in our hands, but we can definitely do something to help. Every Indian can contribute to help in this situation. I appeal to all, to contribute in the Chief Minister's fund of Bihar so that the government can do its work,” Aamir said.

“This year a lot of places have been affected by floods so we can at least do this for them. I will appeal to all, even I will do it, to contribute to the fund and let the government do its job,” he added.

He was speaking at the trailer launch of his upcoming production, Secret Superstar.
