Actress Vidya Balan, who earlier portrayed Silk Smitha in The Dirty Picture, has returned with her same quirky side. This time as a sari-clad bhabhi Sulu in the trailer, released on Saturday, of her upcoming film Tumhari Sulu.

The trailer of the Suresh Triveni directed flick features the National Award-winning actress as housewife Sulu, who lives with her husband and son, and tries hard to add spice to their lives. After winning at competitions hosted by the local radio station, Sulu starts dreaming of becoming an RJ.

A few interesting moments in the trailer are the chemistry between Vidya and her onscreen husband Manav Kaul and the new version of Hawa hawai -- a popular song, originally picturised on Sridevi in Mr India.

The trailer also features Neha Dhupia as the head at a radio station.

Tumhari Sulu, a slice-of-life comedy-drama, is slated for release on November 17.

Bollywood film Chef, which is a remake of an American film, Chef (2014) had an extremely poor opening. The film was released on 6 October 2017.

The film revolves around a three-star Michelin chef, Roshan Kalra (Saif Ali Khan) gets fired from his job in New York because he punches a customer at the restaurant. He then flies to Kochi to spend some time with his son Arman (Svar) who lives with his ex-wife Radha Menon (Padmapriya). He goes there with the idea of spending a few days but ends up spending more time with his wife and son. When his wife gets to know he’s been thrown out of his job, she advises him to come up with his own food truck. Her good friend Biju (Milind Soman) offers his rundown double-decker minibus.

Indian Express film critic Shubhra Gupta had given a mixed review of Chef. “There are some interesting flavours here, but ‘Chef’ feels derivative, and doesn’t come together as a fully satisfactory dish. And that’s got to do with the uneven, stodgy writing. The smoothness that should have been part of a first-rate spread is evident only in some parts: the others are awkward and stilted and contrived, and that impacts the entire film,” she said.

The film will probably be the lowest Saif Ali Khan grosser since the millennium apart from duds like Being Cyrus, Ek Hasina Tha and Nehlle Pe Dehle.
