I did not know that Pranutan was Mohnish Bahl’s daughter: Nitin Kakkar

Salman Khan has done it again. This time he is launching two newcomers in Notebook, which is directed by Filmistaan fame, Nitin Kakkar. The actor-producer has given break to almost a dozen newcomers, including children of celebrity friends

Says Nitin Kakkar, "Salman told me that he wanted to launch Zaheer Iqbal, so I was given a few scripts, out of which I chose Notebook for him. Zaheer was a muscular guy when I met him, so he had to lose weight for the character of Kabir. Mark my words, he will soon be doing action films.''

Mohnish Behl's daughter Pranutan is also being launched in the film. A reflection of her grandmother Nutan, the newbie auditioned for the role of Firdaus. "I was not aware that she was Mohnish Behl's daughter," says the director.

Mohnish and Salman are known be close since the days they did Maine Pyar Kiya. Pranutan met the actor on the sets of the many films her father did with him, including Hum Saath Saath Hain. She is eagerly waiting for offers to come her way after the trailer of the film is out.

The film was difficult to shoot as it is set in Kashmir and involved local kids. "They had created a floating school set. So we would go out of the frame because of the movement of the boat,'' informs Zaheer.

Salman Khan has launched many actors in the recent past are Aayush Sharma Warina Hussain, Sonakshi Sinha, Daisy Shah, Zarine Khan, Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi.
