Veteran producer Kamal Anand has announced to make documentary on music baron Gulshan Kumar. He had a long association with Gulshan Kumar and knew him since Gulshan Kumar’s Delhi.

Kamal Anand said, "I had a long and close association with Gulshanji and am the witness of his sky rise success.  I thought of sharing his success story with the world and am sure that his success story will inspire today's youth. The duration of my film will be of an hour and it will show how he scaled the ladder of success when he came from Delhi to Mumbai to expand his music business. How he named his music company T-Series, how he defeated the then giant music company HMV, how he transformed the music rights of film into paying territory for producers, how he promoted the new talents and how he persuaded Jimmy Narula  to leave HMV and join T-Series and many other things including his business acumen will be shown in this film in an interesting way.  At present I am in search of a face resembling Gulshan ji and once this is done, the film will start rolling and it will be shot in Delhi and Mumbai. It will be directed by an award winning director ".

Kamal Anand also says, "today we are talking about ‘Make In India’ but Gulshan ji implemented it in the 80s and gave tough fight to British music company HMV and as a result the British company had to pack off  from India. The Indian music companies will never forget the great contribution of Gulshanji to promote Indian music companies and will remain indebted to him".
