Entertainment: Ranveer and Rajkummar among Influential Indians
The GQ India magazine has included actors Ranveer Singh, Rajkummar Rao in their list of the 50 Most Influential Young Indians of 2017
Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh, Rajkummar Rao, badminton ace PV Sindhu and Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma have been named in a list of the 50 Most Influential Young Indians of 2017 by GQ India magazine.
The GQ Power made the announcement of 50 most influential Indians under the age of 40 from diverse backgrounds on Friday. The list included personalities from different professions - business and entrepreneurship, politics, fashion, design, media, food and drink, entertainment, sports, and real estate.
“This year, our list includes individuals who have built companies and assembled fortunes – and none of them is older than 40,” said Che Kurrien, editor, GQ India.
Some of the other names to feature in the list include Akash Ambani, Alankrita Shrivastava, Amrita Pandey, Nitesh Kripalani, Aneeth Arora, Prabhas, Prabhat Choudhary, Radhika Apte, Diljit Dosanjh, Sanjay Garg, Kanan Gill, Vir Das and Zorawar Kalra.
Neend Churayi Meri in Golmaal 4 with Ajay Devgn
After enjoying the rehashed of hit songs like Tamma Tamma, Humma Humma, Laila Main Laila, Saara Zamaana, Main Tera Boyfriend, get ready to enjoy the recreated version of Neend Churayi Meri in Golmaal 4. The popular song is from the 1997 blockbuster Ishq that starred Ajay Devgan, Aamir Khan, Juhi Chawla and Kajol in the lead.
The song will be composed by Amaal Mallik and will feature Ajay Devgan in it but without Kajol with whom he danced in the original song.
Amaal confirmed the news to a tabloid and revealed, “I am doing two songs for the film, one among which is Neend Churayi. It's a big responsibility. It is also a tribute to my uncle, Anu Malik, who composed the original.”
Amaal also added that he won't include rap or EDM in his version of Neend Churayi Meri.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, Golmaal 4 stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Parineeti Chopra, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Kemmu in the lead. The film releases on Diwali 2017.
AR Rahman shortlisted for World Soundtrack Awards
The Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman has been shortlisted for the World Soundtrack Public Choice Awards for the film Viceroy’s House. Elated Rahman tweeted on Friday.
Music lovers can cast their vote for what they consider the best soundtrack of the past 12 months. The soundtrack that gets the highest number of votes will receive the World Soundtrack Public Choice Award 2017.
Directed by Gurinder Chadha, a British filmmaker of Sikh origin, Viceroy’s House also stars Huma Qureshi, Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville, Gillian Anderson and late actor Om Puri. The film will release as Partition: 1947 in India on August 18.
Jacqueline is never stressed out says Sidharth
Actor Sidharth Malhotra is surprised that his co- star Jacqueline Fernandez never seemed stressed out on sets of A Gentleman, even when they shot some real tough scenes for the film.
“We did tough and hectic schedules for this film but she was never stressed out. I envy that. I wish I had that magic,” Sidharth said.
The Kick actress too was all praises for Sidharth.
“This is our second film together after Brothers but we just had one scene together. This is the first time we are sharing screen space together. It was great fun working with him, we got along well. It’s not that I am happy all the time. I am happy as I work with a good team.”
A Gentleman is an upcoming action comedy film, written and directed by Raj & DK. It is scheduled to release on 25 August 2017.
