Salman Khan’s ‘Veergati’ actress Pooja Dadwal makes comeback with a Hindi film

Pooja Dadwal who acted in Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s film ‘Veergati’ (1995) is set to make a comeback after 15 years. She will be seen in a short film titled ‘Shukrana Guru Nanak Dev Ji Ka’

Pooja Dadwal who acted in Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's film Veergati (1995) is set to make a comeback after more than 15 years. She will be seen in a short film titled Shukrana Guru Nanak Dev Ji Ka. On February 5, 2020, Pooja did a photoshoot and poster launch of Shukrana Guru Nanak Dev Ji Ka.

The short film is produced by Vikas Jolly's Belle Soul Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The film is written and directed by Surendra Singh and the cast includes Singh himself, Aneesh Sharma and lyricist Sudhakar Sharma with Pooja Dadwal in the lead.

Pooja Dadwal had struggled with domestic problems and fought a battle against tuberculosis. After she reached out to her Veergati co-star Salman Khan, he helped Dadwal through his Being Human organisation. Dadwal thanked Salman Khan and his organisation for supporting her all through her critical medical condition.

Talking about her comeback Pooja said, "Surendra Singh, the director of Shukrana saw my videos on YouTube and approached me with the story of Shukrana Guru Nanak Dev Ji Ka. I agreed to do the short film after meeting him and the producer Vikas Jolly who's an author and motivational speaker. After this short film, we'll be doing a feature film together titled A Beautiful Wife."


All set for a comeback, Pooja will be spelling her name as Pooja Dadwal after consulting a numerologist. Pooja is also the brand ambassador for Vikas Jolly's book titled Safalta Bachchon Ka Khel. The book has real-life stories of fifteen wonder kids.

Talking about Shukrana Guru Nanak Dev Ji Ka and working with Pooja Dadwal, producer Vikas Jolly said, "This short film is about showing our gratitude towards God. And when I heard the film's concept and Pooja ji's story from the director, I immediately came on board to produce the film."

The shoot of Shukrana Guru Nanak Dev Ji Ka will start on 21st February 2020. Pooja and the team will visit the Golden Temple in Amritsar to seek blessings.
