So now we know why it’s called a teaser. The teaser of Bejoy Nambiar’s Taish plays with our sensibilities, flirts with our senses and tickles our fancy with its volatile range of emotions associated with anger.

Two of the country’s most underrated young actors Pulkit Samrat and Harshvardhan Rane are thrown into what looks like an intense solid thriller where the cat-and-mouse game is played in dark places in the heart. And then we have Jim Sarbh an actor I can always count on to give an unexpected spin to dark tales from the yonder.

The ladies seem to be positioned in the backyard. I did catch a lovely glimpse of Kriti Kharbanda. In her one shot, Ms Kharbanda’s smile reaches her eyes, reminding us that dark tales look dark only when a beam of sunshine cuts through the lightless tunnel.

Fatally, the teaser gives nothing away about the plot. Going by the violent spin in the trailer we are in for a rigorously intense time. I’d trust director Bejoy Nambiar’s past record for Taish and not the OTT platform’s propensity to pander puerility.
