The First Look: Ranveer Singh shares the first look of ‘83’, the film on his birthday

On his 34th birthday today, actor Ranveer Singh shared his first look as Kapil Dev from the upcoming film, ‘83. In the picture, Ranveer can be seen flipping a leather ball with an uncanny resemblance to Haryana Hurricane, former cricketer Kapil Dev;

“On my special day, here’s presenting THE HARYANA HURRICANE KAPIL DEV,” he wrote along with the picture.

Ranveer's friends including Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra also commented on the picture cheering for him.

The phenomenal actor has played various historical roles but this is the first time he is doing a sports drama.

“He is a fabulous actor. He and Kabir Khan are taking care of every small thing. They are taking care of how I speak, my pronunciation. Ranveer thought that since I am a fast bowler, I must be aggressive and he wanted to learn how I express my anger. I told him, I might have gotten angry on the field, but off the field, I never lost my head.” Said Kapil Dev on an episode of Breakfast with Champions.

Ranveer’s wife and actor Deepika Padukone will play his onscreen wife Romi Dev in the film. '83 is currently being filmed in London and the film is slated for April 2020 release.
