IIFA 2019: Alia and Ranveer bag Best Actor awards, Sara Ali Khan steals show with debut stage performance

The International Indian Film Academy Awards event was organised on September 18 and Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi won maximum awards. Alia Bhatt took home the best actress trophy for her performance in Meghna Gulzar's Raazi. Her Gully Boy co-star Ranveer Singh won the best actor award for his villainous performance in Padmaavat.

Deepika Padukone who came all decked up as a queen bagged 20 Years Best Actor (Female) award.

Some of the highlights of the evening were the stage debuts of Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan. Sara Ali Khan was also awarded the best debutant award for her performance in Kedarnath.

Ishaan Khatter too was given the best debutant award.

Katrina Kaif who made an appearance on both the days of IIFA homecoming performed on her song Suraiya which was one of the highlights of the award night.

Salman who has now specialised as finale man walked the green carpet with his Dabangg3 heroine Sailee Manjrekar. It was the first public appearance of the celebrated actor/director Mahesh Manjrekar’s daughter.

Madhuri Dixit paid a tribute to Saroj Khan.

Veteran comedian Jagdeep too was felicitated.
