COVID-19 lockdown might extend, hint experts

The corona graph is going steep despite lockdown in India. The official figures of corona positive cases had already crossed 4421 on Tuesday.

More than 112 people have lost their lives due to the deadly virus With new hotspots in many parts of the country, the challenge seems bigger.

AIIMS director has confirmed community spread in many parts of the country. In such crucial situation, the question, when the lockdown will end? has become tough.

Government sources have hinted that the lockdown might get extended. Many state governments are requesting the centre to extend the lockdown, sources said.

Experts have also suggested the lockdown extension for a week or two to further control the spread. Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has also given indications on lockdown extension. The Vice President said next 7 days are critical in evaluating the lockdown exit plan.

Naidu said, the data regarding the spread of coronavirus will have a bearing on the decision to be taken by the government. According to senior doctors, ground data graph of Covid-19 till 15th April will be decisive. The data as of now is not very encouraging to get back to normal routine, suggested an expert.

With corona cases going high, government might rethink on the lockdown's duration.
