The Supreme Court has called delaying FIRs for hate speeches unjustified.

While hearing the petition filed by 10 victims, the top court called for action.

The Supreme Court has asked the high court to hear petitions on hate speeches on Friday.

The Delhi High Court had put off its hearing by four weeks.

In his ruling, Chief Justice Bobde told the high court to advance the scheduled date

SC directed HC to decide the requests for FIRs as expeditiously as possible.

The high court had, on February 29, given the government four weeks to respond.

Solicitor General Mehta had called the moment “not conducive” to file cases.

Mehta echoed a similar concern on Wednesday in the Supreme Court.

Solicitor General objected to the advancement of the hearing.

Mehta said, there had been no violence for three days.

Chief Justice said, the absence of violence did not mean the court couldn't take action.

Mehta told the court it would be "naive" to accept that hate speeches incited the riots...

Chief Justice told him, "You don't need to accept it."

Dozens of people have been killed in the violence incited by hate speeches

FIR's against BJP leaders Kapil Mishra, Anurag Thakur, Pravesh Verma are being demanded.

These leaders made several hate speeches which sparked off violence in Delhi.

Instead of getting arrested, Kapil Mishra was provided Y security by the government.
