Home minister Amit Shah once again could not keep his words.

Shah at a media forum welcomed anyone who wants to talk about CAA.

But just three days later he took a u-turn as the Shaheen Bagh Dadis were denied an appointment with him.

Shaheen Bagh protesters had decided to talk to Amit Shah after his open invitation.

But they did not get an appointment or permission for the march from police.

Hundreds of women protesting against the CAA had to stop their march to Union home minister Amit Shah's house.

Shaheen Bagh women have been  assured of a proper appointment with Union Minister.

But the police says these protesters will get appointment only if they appoint a delegation for the meeting.

The question is, why Amit Shah is avoiding a dialogue with these protesters.

Is he scared of meeting these women who have sharp questions to ask?

These women have been protesting at Shaheen Bagh for the last two months.

The Shaheen Bagh movement has been on the target of the right-wing.

Elderly women protesters at Shaheen Bagh, referred to as Dadis ask the home minister, "why is he not ready to meet us?".

The women had started the march, hoping for a dialogue with Mr Shah on the citizenship law.

They did not have an appointment or the permission for a protest march from the police.

They stopped the march and went back to their sit-in protest after they were told that their application for a meeting has been sent to the home minister.

The police turned down their application to hold a protest march after the women refused to send a delegation to meet the home minister.

The women say, they would not give up their protest or allow it to become violent or disorderly.

"We will march to Amit Shah's house along with everyone here. We will speak in front of everyone. We will ask him to give in writing that NRC and CAA will be taken back," a 76-year-old protester said

The protesting women decided to talk to Mr Shah after his open invitation at a media Summit on Thursday.

Anyone with doubts over the CAA could seek an appointment from his office and he would be willing to meet them within the next three days, he had said.

Shaheen Bagh has been the epicentre of the protests against the citizenship law for the last two months.

Shaheen Bagh has been the subject of much of the hate speech from the party's leaders.

Various leaders of the BJP have made it clear that they consider the protesters as "terrorists" and "anti-nationals",

BJP leaders  egged on crowds to shout "goli maaro" slogans at election rallies.

Amit Shah admitted that they could have hurt the party's chances in the election.
