PM’s apology in “Mann Ki Baat” leaves people hopeless

In ‘Mann Ki Baat’ PM Modi called for people’s patience but left most of the crucial issues unanswered. The PM said he is concerned for the poor, but did not mention the migrant workers’ issue

PM Modi apologised for the harsh decisions being taken in 'mann ki baat'. Sunday edition of 'mann ki baat' was 63rd so far and 3rd for the year. PM majorly talked on Covid-19 but skipped a lot of questions

He emphasized on the need for social distancing and emotional connect. In his speech he called for people's patience but left most of the crucial ones. PM said he is concerned for the poor, but did not mention the migrant issue.

Thousands of migrant workers are still stranded and stuck in roads. PM did not talk about the situation that has created the threat of community spread. PM did not assure of the medical preparedness to fight the pandemic. PM failed to talk about the lack of doctors, masks, ventilators and specialised hospitals.

PM also did not mention the panic and confusion created by sudden lockdown. India delayed to assess potentially devastating impact of coronavirus on the country. I'm his monthly address PM did not tell how and when the package benefits will reach the poor.

PM seeks nation's forgiveness for tough decisions but fails to tell about the other steps being taken. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has written to the PM regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Rahul said that the scenario in India is different from other large countries and hence the measures being practices there can't be replicated here.

Rahul Gandhi urged the government to adopt a more "nuanced" and "targeted" approach to tackle the spread of the virus. Rahul Gandhi asserted that "speedy delivery of the package is equally important".
