Rana Kapoor’s property worth ₹1000 crores under ED scanner

As ED took Rana Kapoor in its custody, his plan to sell his three Delhi-based properties amounting over ₹ 1,000 crores failed.

The three properties are at 40, Amrita Shergill Marg; 18 Kautilya Marg, Chanakya Puri; and in the Diplomatic Enclave on Sardar Patel Marg

Kapoor had engaged some top property dealers to sell these assets.

It is learnt that all the properties are linked to Kapoor's wife Bindu Kapoor, who is also under the scanner.

Bindu is also under scanner as ED probes suspicious transactions of around ₹4,300 crores.

Bindu Kapoor bought a luxurious bungalow at 40, Amrita Shergill Marg -- a prime location in Lutyens' Delhi.

Kapoor wanted to shift his base in the US, the UK or France by selling properties in Delhi and Mumbai.

The property at Amrita Shergill Marg was bought from Avantha Realty Which is Gautam Thapar's company which had borrowed money from Yes Bank.

According to sources, Kapoor's wife had bought this property in the name of her company Bliss Abode Ltd

Instead of going for a procedure under the RBI's guidelines to recover the loan,

Yes Bank sold the property for a bare minimum price of ₹380 crores to Bliss Abode Pvt Ltd.

The Chanakya Puri property is in the name of Bliss Villa (Delhi) Pvt Ltd.

The Directors of Bliss Villa (Delhi) Private Limited are Bindu Kapoor, and Ajita Madhukar Potdar.

The third property in Diplomatic Enclave on Sardar Patel Marg is also a prime property.

The selling price of the Chanakya Puri and Sardar Patel property was fixed Rs 350 crore and ₹250 crores.

Another property in Mumbai on tony Altamount Road in Mumbai worth Rs 128 crore is also under scanner.

The property is next to Mukesh Ambani's 27-storey Antilla.

The ED, as well as the CBI, have registered separate cases against Rana Kapoor, his wife, their three daughters and Dewan Housing Finance Ltd (DHFL) promoter Kapil Wadhwan.

Yes Bank extended financial assistance to DHFL and the Kapoors were paid kickbacks of ₹600 crores.

The ED, meanwhile, is also recording the statement of Kapoor's wife and daughters.

The ED has stumbled upon investments worth over 2,000 crores by the Kapoor's.

It has also stumbled upon 44 expensive paintings purchased by the family,
