WATCH: Faiz’s ‘Hum Dekhenge’ fused with Tagore’s ‘Where the Mind is Without Fear’

Hum Dekhenge, Faiz’s iconic poem has been one of the popular ones at anti Citizenship Protests across the county. The poem written by Faiz is being sung at almost all the protests. Also, Rabindranath Tagore’s famous poem ‘Where the mind is without fear’ has been featuring in anti-CAA protests.

Sufi singer and composer Sonam Kalra recently sung a soulful rendition of Hum Dekhenge and combined it with Dastango Sunil Mehra’s rousing recitation of Tagore’s ‘Where the mind is without fear’.


In order to put forward the message of freedom and peace, Kalra, who was behind the project, blended the worlds of Faiz and Tagore.

Melodic musical arrangement has been done by Manish Sahriya’s and cinematography by Innee Singh. Kalra has collaborated with three other artistes to create powerful celebration of two great poets known for defiance and resilience.
