2 missing after Hyderabad rains and flooding

According to senior police officer K Purushottam, rescue operations are going on in Vanasthalipuram for two persons who went missing after they were swept away by the strong currents

Hyderabad saw flooding in several low-lying areas after the city received 10-12 cm of rainfall last night, and water entered several homes, reported NDTV.

According to senior police officer K Purushottam, rescue operations are going on in Vanasthalipuram for two persons who went missing after they were swept away by the strong currents, reported ANI. A man was also swept away by currents in Chintalkunta, but was later reported safe.


Videos of the flooding were shared to social media by users. One such video showed parked cars floating away, another video shared by ANI, showed a flooded restaurant. People accused the Hyderabad administration of repeating the “horrors of flooding” that were witnessed last year, reported NDTV.
