Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) activists were irked after the Lucknow police sealed their office in the state capital on Saturday night saying the action was being taken because the party was raising questions about the government’s working.

The AAP office was situated at a rented house in front of Lohia park in Gomti Nagar area. A large contingent of police was deployed there to prevent any protest or forceful entry by activists.

AAP leader and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh, who has been very vocal against the Yogi Adityanath government, was slated to address a press conference at the Lucknow office this afternoon.

An AAP leader said that the police has questioned the house owner as to why he has rented the house to AAP and had threatened him of dire consequences.

AAP had started this office just a month back.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Singh, in a statement here on Sunday said that they will oppose such undemocratic acts of the BJP government.

"Such harassment would not deter us from raising voices against the misrule of the BJP government and we will continue to raise the peoples issues," he said.
